Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The article has never been published in any journal or is being reviewed by another journal. When submitting an article, authors are required to send a Statement of Authenticity of the article to Jumantara: Jurnal Manuskrip Nusantara.
  • Article files should be submitted in Microsoft Word.
  • Citations and bibliographies using Mendeley are highly recommended Mendeley. The total number of scientific bibliographies is at least 10 titles (80% primary and 20% secondary references). Primary references can be journals, proceedings, scientific books, research reports, theses, dissertations, patents, standards and historical documents;while secondary references include general reading books and internet information sources . If available, the URL for the reference should be included.
  • Article writing must be in accordance with the rules listed on the page Author Guidelines. The minimum number of pages is 12, including the bibliography page.
  • If the peer-reviewed submission process is handled by an existing editor at the journal, make sure the Ensuring a Blind Review instructions are followed.
  • The title and focus of the study must be in accordance with Focus and Scope Jumantara: Jurnal Manuskrip Nusantara. If not appropriate, the article will automatically return to the author (REJECTED).
  • Authors must uphold and comply with copyright, privacy, and license terms.

Author Guidelines

When submitting an article, the author should have to attention:

1)   The article should be within the scope and focus this journal subject.

2)   The article is sent in Ms.Word format with the following conditions:

  • A4 paper (21 cm x 21,7cm) with the page margin; Left (3 cm), top (2 cm), Right (2 cm), and bottom (2 cm);
  • The number of article pages between 12 - 25 pages.
  • The article is written one column with Times New Roman font, except the title of article (Arial). 
  • The conjunctions (and, in, or with, as well, about, that, against, so, because, then, for the sake,) and prepositions (in, to, from, into, within, by, through) are written in lowercase.

3)   The article is written with the following regulations.

  • TITLE (Arial 14; all capital letters and bold; 1 space).
  • Author Name (Times New Roman 11 and bold; 1 space).
  • Author Affiliation (Times New Roman 10,5; 1 space), contains the name of the institution/organization/workplace/author’s work/study place.
  • Correspondence (Times New Roman 10,5; 1 space), contains the first author’s email address.
  • ABSTRACT and ABSTRAK (Times New Roman 12; all capital letters and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 10; 1 space). The article abstract is written in two languages (English and Indonesian). For articles in Indonesian, the English abstract is placed above the Indonesian abstract and vice versa.
  • Keywords (Times New Roman 11 and bold) and their contents (Times New Roman 10), keywords are written in English; with several 3-7 keywords.
  • INTRODUCTION (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1,15 space).
  • LITERATURE STUDIES (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1,15 space), literature must be relevant to the study/research topic.
  • METHODS (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1,15 space).
  • RESULTS AND DISCUSSION (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1,15 space). Description and discussion of results should be made separately.
  • CONCLUSION (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1,15 space).
  • ADVICE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT - optional (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1,15 space)
  • REFERENCES (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and reading sources (Times New Roman 11; 1,15 space). Source of citations and bibliography must be the same. The writing format of a bibliography refers to The Chicago Manual of Style (CMS). Citation and bibliography writing are advised to use Mendeley.
